Kidderminster sits in the Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire, nearly 20 miles south west of Birmingham. Once world-famous for the production of quality carpets, it is also the birthplace of Sir Roland Hill, creator of the Penny Black, the very first postage stamp. My photos are from a walk alongside the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal which, along with the River Stour, passes right through the centre of the town. The (very long) longboat just happened to be moving through the lock and moving at a similar pace to my photographing grandson and I. The various reflections lent variety to the normal canal scenes.
